Alcohol is thought to cause over 30,000 deaths a year in Britain, and is implicated in 60 per cent of suicides and 40 per cent of domestic violence cases.

If you drink more than you should, or you binge drink, or you find it difficult to cut down, hypnotherapy can help with alcohol problems.

It is effective in terms of altering the unconscious response to situations, and desires, as well as reducing withdrawal symptoms.

Addictions are often due to behavioural and "coping" habits that over time have become part of the pattern of daily life.

If the issue is one of simple excessive drinking, you will be asked not to drink alcohol for up to two weeks and we will work on the management of stress, controlling the urge to drink, and the situations that trigger drinking, and of course on any underlying issues that you may have You - the client will make a decision of whether to stop drinking permanently or whether controlled drinking is viable.

If however, you are completely dependent on alcohol, you need to go to your GP or your local alcohol advice centre.
